it was amazing
bookshelves: 2017, teen-ya, owned-books, verse, female-authors

This is the story of Tippi & Grace who are conjoined twin teenagers. The story is told completely in free verse from Grace's point of view. I was a little apprehensive about reading a book in this format - I felt it would be lacking in detail or not read as well as a prose book. However, what Crossan does is amazing - she is able to tell a story so well in free verse that it doesn't feel like I was missing any detail. I'm a complete convert to this format and will be reading all her books asap!
Also I met her last night at the launch of her new book which was jointly written with Brian Conaghan - We come apart. They were both lovely and really interesting.
