liked it

I didn't love it, I liked it but there were some things missing for me. I don't know if it is because I've been reading too much YA but all the books that I've been reading are all starting to have the same themes. I didn't really like Ellie, it took me a long time to get into the book, and the relationship between Ellie and Michael seemed to get heavy very quickly. There didn't seem much depth to Ellie, and maybe with the saturated market, I expected a bit more. I enjoyed the introduction of the character Ezekiel, if only to add some suspense to the story... and then towards the end of the book the story really sucked me in. Probably because Ellie was on her own and seemed to find some gumption about her and show me that she might turn into the sort of heroine that I like to read about. As an aside, the cover threw me a little bit. I kept looking at it because there seems to be something off with her ears or I've been reading too may fairy books but she looked like something out of LOTR. After the ending of this book though, I will read the next in the series 'Eternity'. I really can't not finish a series
