A quirky novella with a strong female lead. This was such an enjoyable read and a bizarrely brilliant retelling of the Wonderland story we know so well.

Maddie Milner is the titular Hatter's Wife and she's on a quest to save her husband from Wonderland and have her revenge on the Queen of Hearts.

A fun story follows this premise and Anna pulls off a clever humour that adds to the enjoyment of the tale. The tone is consistent and easy to relax in. I lost track of time reading it.

I would love to have had more plot and character development but for the short form of the narrative it accomplished the most essential reading experience necessity: escapism!

I look forward to reading more of Anna's works.
