it was amazing
bookshelves: books-i-own

I have no words...

Devastating but beautiful at the same time. The last few chapters had me sobbing, and yet right at the end... a spark of happiness, a light at the end of the tunnel.

This book was so eye-opening to a piece of history where many had suffered/died, and yet is hardly known. I feel slightly ashamed that I wasn't aware of the event prior to reading.

Brutally honest about the events, however was written beautifully. I think this story should be read by everyone.
