Heidi Honestly, I hate to leave this review because I adored Mrs. Brendan's other two books from this series, but I was actually a little disappointed in this one. I especially loved No Place for a Lady...and this book reunites you with a few of the characters from that.....but I must say...it fell short for me. I found myself hating the main heroine throughout almost the ENTIRE story...I know her character was meant to be a "spoiled brat"...but she was the extreme! I found her to not only be spoiled, but so annoying that I had a hard time wanting the hero to fall for her. I had the hardest time understanding her character for so many different reasons. She confused me. She did transform a bit, which I know was the whole purpose to the story...but it seemed so abrupt that I found it to be not very believable. All in all I did end up loving the ending and I still give it a three...I just had quite high expectations going into reading it I guess.
