really liked it

This book was an interesting read. I'm a huge Jodi Picoult fan, but this book lacked her usual spark and depth of overall emotion. This book focuses on domestic abuse, and how even the most charming of men can posess an evil side. This book was predictable, and I went from not liking it at all to really beginning to enjoy it near the end. I enjoyed her use of Native American culture, and her vivid descriptions connections which the main character, Cassie, posessed. You could feel the vibrant undying love for her husband, Alex, and the maternal bond she feels for her son Connor which is so strong that she does the unimaginable to save him. Overall, this was a good read.
