I have a soft spot for artists and small towns. Teresa Trent teams those interests up and throws in a form of psychic awareness for bonus points. A complicated and dangerous mystery in which Gabby doesn't know who to trust. She has even tried to hide her special abilities from her brother. That becomes more difficult when they become room mates.

This is a well crafted cozy mystery that will keep you rethinking your choice of murderer until the final page is turned. Most readers change their mind at least three times.
The townspeople all have personalities that are revealed little by little, don't be fooled by your first impressions. What looks like motive may truly be hiding something far different.
I appreciated seeing Gabby's relationship with her brother Mitch grow as they figure out who to trust with the truth about Gabby's gift, and I am not referring to her illustration talents.
