liked it

This story of an ex-con who gets entangled in the squabbles of a rural family is certainly twisted; however, twisted wasn't quiet enough for me. I might have gotten more into this story were it sent somewhere other than a farmhouse, but the small canvas, especially when contrasted with the urban or seaside settings of other Simenon novels, left me wanting more.
