it was amazing
bookshelves: reviewed, wwii, really-sad, empathy, human-rights

A truly devastating collection - I read these stories almost a decade ago, and some of them stick with me to this day. The core lesson here is a difficult one to swallow: one of the greatest crimes of the Holocaust was that, in many cases, it forced the victims to become like the victimizers.
