This is a book of poetry - or poetic prose as the cover states which I am not sure how that is different from poetry. I am not sure exactly what the title refers since there is no poem with that title nor did I pick up on any real references to messages in a bottle in the poems. The poems are organized alphabetically which I thought was a bit strange since there are definitely poems that are similar thematically that could have been organized together. I typically don't read poetry so I am not sure how to critique it, but the poems were interesting, and while there was a warning on the back cover that the poems are for mature audiences, there were not that many poems that were R rated. I especially liked the poems "Fire Dancer","Printed in Red", "enabler", and "Detached Retina of your third eye." All the poems are pretty short so it is easy to follow them and absorb them.
