really liked it
bookshelves: favorite

having seen the movie, I am looking forward to the book

after reading the book:

This is a very slim volume - how fat could it be as it was dictated by using eye-blinks?
It is funny, moving, sweet, bitter in turns. I'd seen the movie a few months ago and was totally blown away by it. Although the movie was based on the book, there were scenes in the movie that never appeared in the book. I am curious about that - is it poetic license? Or did the movie maker reference other people's experiences of this author to get a more "rounded" picture.
I loved the book, but it was not as powerful as the movie medium had been.
