really liked it

My partner got this out of the library and enjoyed it and so recommended it to me. I quite enjoyed this - I'd give it a 4.5 if we had that choice. I learned a lot about bonobos that I didn't know and found fascinating and moving. Good food for thought about humans and animals and the gray line that demarcates them. Also good food for thought on our crazy human culture and reality tv.

I liked the main characters - Isabel the scientist, John the journalist, and the bonobos. The mystery storyline kept me reading late into the night, which is always a good sign. I agree with others' reviews that things turned out a bit too neatly, but don't they usually in mystery novels?
