Jean and Angus move to Washington from America when their dad gets a job in America. They are sad that they have to leave their ponies behind but are relieved when some new friends lend them horses to ride while they stay in America. It doesn't take long for them to hear about the "phantom horse" that lives in the area. Completely wild and slightly dangerous, whoever catches him gets to keep him.

This story is a good horse story. I haven't read one in a while and I enjoyed it. I was given the whole series but they are obviously meant for the middle school age group and that wasn't necessarily made clear to me. However, it was cute and enjoyable.
