An interesting psychological study of a good man who more or less accidentally kills someone and of how trying to keep that secret affects him and all his relationships. Enjoyed the central story of the couple involved - didn't enjoy as much the several little sidelines that didn't go anywhere. For instance, the young daughter Ruby seemed to be having visions - is she schizophrenic or just imaginative? There just seemed no reason to throw that in and then not wrap it up or relate it to the main story. Very effective ending.
