I liked the first book, Feeling Sorry for Celia, a little more, because it seemed a bit too neat that here, the three girls from rich Ashbury would be paired off (well more or less) with their three male penpals from rough-and-ready Brookfield. These kids are good letter-writers though, and I love how Moriarty shows the power of written communication over teenage imagination in this 100% epistolary novel.
