BrocheAroe 3 stars? Can I get a little more info when you have a moment please? (If you remember, that is, and no, that's not to say your memory's going, I just know how much you've read since then!)

Emily Crowe Well, i thought book was fine, but I didn't really find the three daughters to be sympathetic characters, and I also thought that the collective first person plural point of view was not successful. because it was told from a "we" perspective, but each sister was then also referred to by name, which makes for clumsy story telling. imagine my telling you a story like this: "So, the three of us were in a lively debate; Emily's feelings were so much on her sleeve that we hardly needed to hear her argument, but Rosaline kept such a poker face that we couldn't tell whether she was arguing her own position or playing devil's advocate, and Cordelia as always played it right down the middle." So, if you as the reader know that my name is Emily, it just feels weird to read something like that. Maybe that's part of the weirdness of the weird sisters. but i enjoyed the shakespearean references, and it wasn't a bad book. just not a great one for me. does that make sense?
