If I had such a thing, this book would go under my "So glad I wasn't Chinese" category. They always seemed to go through such horrible things, and since I'm a woman, it would be much worse. Lisa See's writing style was very captivating, and I actually got nauseated when I read about the foot-binding. I cried when Beautiful Moon died, and I got angry with Lily when she thought Snow Flower had abandoned her. Then I felt her remorse when she found out it wasn't true. This book was wonderful in a sense that it made you feel so many emotions with the characters. Even though there was so much suffering, it was written in a way that compelled me to keep moving forward. I was glad that Lily's husband was good to her, and their happy ending (up until he died) was a good one.
