really liked it

I don't normally read suspense or crime fiction (my life has enough drama as it is) but when I received this book as a gift, I decided to give it a try. It has redefined the term "page turner" for me. I was involved with the main character right from the start, and couldn't wait to find out what happened to her. It's the story about a girl who was kidnapped and raped at the age of 15, and then her older self, 20 years later when her perpetrator contacts her again. It was exciting, but also very well-rounded, showing the ambivalence and ambiguity that goes with any major life event. Expertly written, with great characters, I'd recommend this book highly.
