bookshelves: historical-romance

Two-Time, Texas is one small town that has a lot going on. There is a feud between two families that has led to the town living by two different time zones. There is the Jilted Bride, Meg Lockwood and a recently arrived East Coast lawyer, Grant Garrison, who is defending the groom but is strongly attracted to his client's former fiance. Throw in some zany neighbors (I loved the widow who moved back and forth between two houses), brutish dog catchers and small-town gossips and you have a story that makes for a fun read.

For those of you who like your romances super sweet, this is the perfect story for you. For those of you who want strong, sexual tension and lots of sexy times, you probably want to steer clear although I'm warning you -- you'll miss out on a good story that might be a nice change of pace from your normal read.

I look forward to reading the other two books in the series when they become available.
