it was amazing

This novel, set in the Cambodian underworld of drugs, violence and corruption, is a winner. Well-plotted, suspenseful story, highly flawed but empathetic main character (washed up war photographer Will Keller, whose daily diet consists of drugs, alcohol and violence), very evocative and full of atmosphere. The author's sparse and minimalist style of writing suits the noir genre and I'll be looking out for future books by him.
