it was amazing

The writers continue to hone their craft on this technological thriller series. Their universe of characters and plot lines are expanding, building on previous books, but written in such a way you could pick up any of the books in the series and not be incredibly lost on what happened before.

You spend more time being mystified on the logical extension of how the technology is being applied. There isn't anything too far-fetched in these stories - it can, will, and is happening today. Adding the human element (love, loss, drive, greed, etc.) gives reason and intent behind why the characters are doing what they are doing. There is enough subtle humor throughout that, if the reader isn't paying attention, would miss completely. A great example is the running list of acronyms for everything. If you aren't part of the Information Technology world, a lot of that is just skipped over. For those of us who are, however, it adds a great bonus grin to your face while turning pages.
