really liked it

Touched by Cancer is personal story of one woman’s battle with cancer and her life after. It tells the story of her diagnosis and treatment, and, more importantly, the impact these had on her life. It is an honest autobiography that does not hold back.

The book is written in a diary or journal style, instead of literary prose. This format truly lets the reader enter Teri Rose’s head, understanding her desires and fears.

The book does not have deep messages for cancer patients or caregivers, but is a required read for any young person who is battling with diagnosis and treatment. The thoughts and ideas that Teri Rose shares are the thoughts and ideas that all cancer patients have. Her desires and fears, especially those for her life post-treatment, are those that all young adult cancer patients do or should consider. Teri Rose’s story is another voice for all those with cancer to hear.
