it was amazing
bookshelves: adventure-romance, fairy-tales, fantasy-romance, girls-who-kick-ass, own, books-that-made-me-cry

I love this book so dearly. I've read it probably six or seven times now, and it never fails to both make me laugh and reduce me to at least near tears. Ella is a witty, brave, and independent heroine and Char is the most lovable of princes. With all of the hundreds of versions of Cinderella out there, one can easily grow tired of the story, but not this one. Never.

I usually say that The Lord of the Rings is my favorite book, when asked, but if I'm really honest, I have to say that Ella Enchanted is my true favorite. It's the one I've read more times than any other, and it has everything I want in a book: adventure, humor, romance, a strong heroine.... Love, love, love.
