I most likely met Hambleton thru mail art networking. He came to a NEOIST APARTMENT FESTIVAL in Baltimore that I organized in the later summer / early spring of 1981. That's probably when I got this bk. My copy additionally has tucked into a "Perpetual Cyclic Calendar" good for the yrs 1974-1999 & a sticker from the "I.D. Security Investigation Department". Richard did outline drawings of imaginary murder victims on the streets wherever he went. He also sent out form letters of a head & shoulders drawing w/ the face left blank - w/ 6 smaller clip art heads w/ the faces left blank flanking the bigger drawing. These were to be filled in by the recipients as a way of identifying "Mr. Reeee" - a character, a suspect?, connected to the image murders. This bk is the catalog of responses - one of the more nicely done mail art catalogs that I've ever seen. Richard later went on to make full size pictures of himself on paper that he pasted up lurking in alleyways & the like - & then made silhouette paintings, deKooning-style, of the same thing in the same type of places. These were also sold somewhat successfully in NYC art galleries for a while when graffittists were the craze.
