it was amazing

This was a great read. I couldn't put it down. A very charming, funny story about a young gay man coming of age in Texas with his spoiled, drama queen mother who genuinely loves him but cannot take care of herself financially after his father leaves. He paints a detailed picture of his very strange relatives and friends who are unique in the way I imagine only people from Texas are. He describes falling in love for the first time, getting involved in theatre and writing- it is all very charming but also witty and cutting. I loved it.
