it was amazing
bookshelves: current-fiction

“I wondered if that was how forgiveness budded; not with the fanfare of epiphany, but with pain gathering its things, packing up, and slipping away unannounced in the middle of the night.”

–Khaled Hosseni

This was one of the first books I had read in a long time that made me rekindle my love of reading.

The scenes were vivid and the settings were full of life. The decades-spanning storyline had me invested the entire way through, and the way that themes of redemption tied themselves together at the end was brilliant and had me ready to discover a next great read.
