liked it

I thought that the first person narrative was going to irritate me but thankfully that calmed down after the first chapter or so. I also thought that I was going to be another book about corrupt hollywood. That type of story just doesn't appeal to me. Thankfully there was more depth to the book than that and in the end I liked it.

The main character, Elvis Cole, is likeable and that made the story for me. Although there was really not much about his background at all. It's a little refreshing when a series of books doesn't feel the need to regurgitate a character's life story in every single book. I also quite liked his partner Pike.

Although this is book three in the series not once was I made to feel that I should have started from book one. Again, I quite liked this aspect of it. I would happily pick up one or two of these and shove in my back to take on holiday.

Having said that it's not a series of books I think I would feel loyal to although I would be quite happy to read more.
