bookshelves: alliteration

This is a book FULL of "W" words. I didn't even realize there was an entire that could be told using only words that begin with the letter W. I would use this book to enhance a lesson about alliteration, or to share with a small group of children when practicing letter sounds/identification. This book would be incredibly meaningful to a child who's name began with the letter W. I am also thinking this book would make great contributions to a word wall.

Dr. Laura Meyers What wonderful ideas you have! Yes, I can see using this book as a springboard for so many activities. I can even see taking children on a walk down the hall to collect W words pre-written on note cards that could later be added to the word wall. This activity mimics the story and reinforces the "w" for "walk" - along with many other connections. :)
