“Happiness is holding someone in your arms and knowing you hold the whole world.”

–Orhan Pamuk

This book was a slow one. Finishing it felt like a big accomplishment, largely because reading it kind of felt like trudging through snow.

That doesn't mean that it didn't pass through some beautiful parts, some insightful thoughts, and some deeply meaningful moments. It's plot got pretty interesting sometimes and I appreciated its pace as fitting for its setting.

It's a good book, and I can understand all the praise it's gotten, it was just simultaneously a laborious read for me.
