A brilliantly told story about the clash of different cultures and first, and even second loves. Cole is an ex-cop turned private investigator who is still trying to cope with the death of his long time lover when he meets Jae on a case.

The attraction between them is instantaneous, but it’s not all lust and sex, there are real feelings at work, and even a pet cat thrown into the mix for added humour and comfort.

Their very believable romance is set around the murder of Jae’s cousin, and the closer the two men get to finding out what really happened to him, the more at risk they seem to be.

This is an intricate murder mystery that will keep you guessing until the very end, as well as a love story that crosses boundaries. You can't help but root for Cole and Jae, they are both wonderful characters, and it's easy to lose yourself in their world

It has a bit of everything. Good plot, good romance, and a cat with attitude. The ending is satisfying, but leaves an opening for more, and I really hope there will be!
