really liked it

The Harvest Festival is a great novella that immerses you into the world Callum and his family, as they are tested through unspeakable challenges. Drinkwater uses great imagery and the conversational tone is believable. I really liked the Story because of its unique realistic candor.

The story starts off with a quick pace, but with enough time for a realistic fatherly moment with the kids. The story does slow at time due to over description, but I am a minimalist (so it might just be me), but despite my one hang-up, it kept me moving forward to the end. Harvest Festival reminded me much like a Stephen King novella, but with a Welch touch.

The writing itself was topnotch and the editing superb. My recommendation is that you should read this novella.
