Honey, I Love is filled with poems concentrated on the aspect of love; love of everyday things, and love of family. Children can associate with the poems because they are simple and are about things they may love too. This would not be a book to introduce poetry to young students. The poems, although simple and easy to read, discuss the ideals of love of family and other topics children love. Introducing young children to poetry, we want them to find the poems interesting, enticing, and many times humorous. Poems in Honey I Love are only one of the three; interesting. This book would be recommended for students and children who have already begun an appreciation for poetry.
