it was amazing

I have to note that I am trained as a woman's historian and that this period in U.S. history is fascinating with a myriad of activist work taking place. The characters, hence issues, that Piercy brings to life in this book reveal the women working within the layers of this grand society in which men naturally shared great privilege while women had to use a sledgehammer to create a space in which to simply exist. Victoria Woodhull, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Anthony Comstock, and more -- all here to share their struggles that advanced the agenda of women's rights.
