really liked it

Sometimes you come across a very well written, unique book that you just have to think, what goes on in the mind of author that he/she was able to come up with such a story? With Hunger games, that was my exact thoughts. I was reluctant to read it at first but curiosity got the better of me.

The story was set in a harsher, crueler North America where those who barely survive were oppressed by their ruling body, the Capitol. For me, Katniss was the perfect protagonist because she is kind and good but is brave enough to have the strength to kill when it is needed of her. She isn't one to falter or become weak. I love her courage and she is different from those love-sick overly romantic female characters that predominates most YA literature.

The Hunger games, though full with gruesome deaths, kept me engrossed with it that I even dream about it. If you haven't read it yet, I strongly suggest that you do, and instantly follow it with Catching Fire and Mockingjay.
