A group of friends from high school meet up like 30 years later for a wedding of two of their friends who dated way back in high school and the women is now dying of cancer. They tried to intertwine some sort mystery regarding one of their friends who died back in high school as well and it wasn't like a "who killed him" but it ends up being more of a "someone could have prevented it but didn't" situation and the way it comes out was kind of lame. The characters were okay. Takes a while to work out who everyone is, but they are all written differently enough that it's easy to figure out. One weird part of the book is that one of the classmates who is kind of a loner (of course there is one) is still a teacher at the school they all went to and she is like writing some sort of historical fiction book and the whole story is interspliced with her story that she is writing and it kind of makes no sense in the overall story of the book. Weird. At first it's kind of annoying, but then you kind of get used to it, which I guess is a good thing. No horrible, but not great. Always good to break up the chicklit though.

Grade: C
