I recently bought some chunky weight yarn and wanted a small knitting project to make something with it. At the library I stumbled across this book. There are a lot of hat patterns, but most of them I would never wear. They are just too bizarre looking.

That being said, there were a couple of cute patterns and one that was perfect for the yarn I bought. There was a cloche hat, a sequined headband, and a few simple yet interesting patterns involving two different colors of yarn. This book is perfect if you want to knit something over a weekend, or a cool handmade gift for someone.

I am currently making the "Skeptical" hat pattern, although I plan to leave off the visor (the pattern is knitted top down). So far so good... it's knitting up fairly quickly. Let's just hope I got the gauge close enough that it fits me!
