it was amazing
bookshelves: poetry, the-coolest-f-word, gender

Or at least, I got to read most of it... had to return it to the library. I will be purchasing a copy, for sure.

I was expecting some decent writing, with some pieces that would strike me, perhaps some very bad writing... as I have experienced in other anthologies. But no... Every author had incredible pieces in there. Plus, each author wrote a little blurb about themselves, etc... it was great. There was a lot of writers I recognized and have read elsewhere (such as Michelle Tea and Alix Olson herself), but I was very impressed with the folks I hadn't ever heard of before. Makes me want to get off my butt and have the courage to put my heart out there like these women are. Very inspiring.
