Beautiful from start to finish. Not a single dud in the collection.

One thing I have noticed with many Spanish writers and their work (One Hundred Years of Solitude Eva Luna The House of the Spirits and others) is how closely they resemble "voice of the South" writers. Flannery O'Connor comes immediately to mind with her semi-mystical themes and eccentric characters.
