it was amazing

This book took my breath away. This vulnerable little girl's story stays with the reader long after the book's ending. Evocative, engaging, heartbreaking - the journey invokes many emotions, and it's a journey one will never forget. Tucker's writing is lyrical and flowing and sweeps you away until she delivers the punch you never saw coming. Anyone who's ever suffered hardship and come out the other side, scarred and battle-worn, will find something to relate to in any of the Appleton girls. Every once in a while you discover a book with the power to change the way you look at the world. You'll find one of those rare stories in The Clay Girl by Heather Tucker.
