McCarthy's "negrophilia novel" lives up to its hype......... too bad I wasn't aware, all this time, when people would say, "oh man, 'child of god'... oh man, whoa, i mean, whoa..." they were alluding to the corpse-sex aspect of this book. It kind of caught me off guard when, y'know, the main character started to get his lovin' on with random cadavers. If McCarthy wanted to take it a step further, he could have made him a HOMOSEXUAL negrophiliac. b/c, let's face it, these days one un-heteronormative sexual "preference" does not a novel make (read: for such a succinct, minimalist prose style used throughout the novel, how the HELL did McCarthy get almost 200 pages about this guy's exploits? I mean, not that I didn't enjoy all those "walkin' through the fo-rest" interludes, but..)
