Though the goblins could be a bit scary for younger readers, this second book was definitely far less creepy than the first book! I probably could have read this at night without problems, but I'll still continue to read this series during the daytime, just in case ^^;; I also enjoyed the story in this second book more than the first book. I think I'll continue on to the third book to see what happens to the griffin (and because each book is so short), but aside from that, I'm not sure this series is a "must" read. None of the characters have really latched on to me yet. What I do enjoy is the style and language (like how the brownie talks in rhymes)).
