Mermaid and a dolphin! SQUEE! Mermaids and dolphins are my top two favourite water species. In this latest fun tale, Lorai is wooed by a sexy dolphin who will not give up. Adam is a dolphin shifter who is at the Crossroads and swims by Lorai in her mermaid form. Intrigued, he circles her several times and flirts with her. Once back on land, he tries to locate his mysterious mermaid.

Lorai has lived for a lot longer than many and she is has learned that she is not welcome due to her size. She is now in a good place in her life and intends to keep it simple. Finding a mate is a dream she has given up. Creating her fashion for shifters and fae brings her great joy and she is satisfied with life. When Adam speeds through her life and leaves a wake of turmoil, Lorai needs to decide if she wants to take a dive back into the dating pool. This story is more than just a courtship. There is danger, conflict and patience all rolled into a tightly written story.

This story is engaging as Lorai's painful history of rejection is revealed. After all these stories in this series, I finally realized the thread that ties all the stories together. It isn't the magical Crossroads. The Crossroads are the solution to the problem. The problem is that at least one of the characters in each of these books is a reject. Not because they are broken or damaged. Because they are not fitting with the societal norms of their group. Lorai is a mermaid larger than any other because her mother is a giant. The way the mermaid and giant mythos are tied together in this tale is beautiful. It is richly saturated with love. What makes these stories so appealing is that these unwanted or rejected characters find their somebody. There is always hope and a match for a person's soul is always found. Ms. Master pens another loving tale with loveable characters, sweet back history and a cute courtship. This paranormal romance is recommended for water babies who love happily ever afters.
