Set in a future world where technology and convenience has shut people out from one and another and nearly severed human contact and interaction with one another all together. Katie tells a story that is so convincing and eerily believable that you'll think about it for days after done reading. Maddie, a genius in the making, doesn't believe that Digital School (DS) should be mandatory around the world, which is exactly what her father, the inventor of DS, is trying to do. Justin doesn't believe that Digital School is the answer either and together they both discover things about themselves and life that they had never before questioned.
Awaken is a definite must read. And I will definitely be reading it.
As opposed to some of the other trash I've subjected myself to, which sit somewhere in the category of don't-eve-read-unless-you-crave-self mutilation
