Linger is the continuation of Grace and Sam's story. This time Isabel and Cole, a new werewolf, play a more prominent role in this story as Linger is told from four points of view. Sam struggles with his new role as pack leader. Grace struggles with the wolf inside and with her parental roommates. Isobel struggles with her brother's death and where she fits in. Cole struggles with escaping his human life.

It's a story that addresses many adolescent issues: first love, independence, trust, and parental relationships. This series brings up several questions:
-How involved should parents be in teen lives?
-Is it ok for parents just to let teens "raise themselves"?
-Can teenagers experience true love?
-Is sex ok if you're in love, will get married, and/or only have this year/time together?

Though this series may help adolescents as they identify with the characters, the morality of some choices is questionable.
