Interesting look into "Black" Bart Roberts, arguably the most successful pirate of the golden era of Caribbean piracy. The details of pirate life are well told and interesting, but the book lost narrative steam in places--frustratingly so, as I wanted to give this four stars. Still, a must-read if you're interested in the history of piracy off the colonies whatsoever. Fascinating insights into aspects of pirate (and 18th-century) life that I had either never been exposed to or never considered.
