really liked it

This book was incredibly fun. Saunders prose is perfect - innocent, playful and subtle. And his imagination is truly original. His is a world created from bits and pieces of our own, but the bits most able to reveal what's lost in the clutter of existence. And while the novel is part political satire, it focuses on political and social philosophy, which makes it timeless, as opposed to a satire focused on current events. Is it currently relevant? Yes. But it will also be relevant tomorrow and ever after as long as humans are human and subject to the absurdities of human thought.
