it was amazing

When I requested this from the library I accidentally requested the audio book on CD and figured I would try it out, although I generally don't bother with audio books since I don't commute every day. As it turns out, I thought the audio version of this book was fantastic! Unlike some audiobooks, there are different actresses for each of the three main characters and they are excellent! (I have my husband listening to this now, and he found out that this audio book actually won awards for the acting.) Hearing this story read in a Southern accent was great! I loved the story itself and a few times, when I had several days between opportunities to listen to this in the car, I was tempted to buy the book so I could find out what happened next. It also offers an interesting perspective on the Civil Rights Movement.
