Letters in Cardboard Boxes is a touching story of a young woman's struggle with her grandmother's Alzheimer's. Her grandmother is everything to her and once the disease takes it hold, Parker needs to learn how to finally stand on her own two feet. The story comes along with a supporting cast of young and old characters who help Parker with her struggles and to find her way.

I found the story to be well written, you feel the love between Parker and her grandmother as well as Parker's struggles in facing her new reality. This is a great story for people to read, as it is a gentle reminder of love, growth and family history all of which can't happen by yourself. Abby Slovin does a wonderful job showing the reader that there is a silver lining, it just takes some longer than others to see it.
