really liked it
Recommended for: Optimists, the relentlessly cheerful.

Just when you think that life is bleak it's outlook grim, along comes a book that knocks your dingdong in the dirt. Pollock really knows how to get into a story but ultimately this was too savagely depressing. It's like reading about atrocities in the Sudan funnelled into the American family.
