Review bumped up to 4 stars

This has been the most read romance book on GoodReads for ages, so I decided to give it a go.

Everything We Keep started with a bang: On our wedding day, my fiancé, James, arrived at the church in a casket. Gosh, what a powerful opening sentence.

At the end of the day, I'm not too sure how I feel about this book. I enjoyed it, but it never truely grabbed me. I like my romances filled with hand-flapping emotion and this in comparison fell a little flat.

I did like the mystery and intrigue though. I liked the concept, I'm just not sure if it was executed particularly well. I think there were too many plot holes. Things weren't explained adequately and moved really quick.

That said, the epilogue intrigued me. I would like to read the sequel, but that's vaguely annoying because I'd have to re-read this. But I did like it enough to do that. I'd like to know if James and Aimee can ever find their way back together.

My Verdict - 3 stars
